Accomodation recommendations

We’re so excited to welcome you to Istanbul for our special day! Istanbul is a city where two continents meet, offering a unique blend of culture, history, and charm. To make your stay as enjoyable as possible, we have a few hotel recommendations based on the different areas of the city.

If you’re planning to explore Istanbul’s rich history and vibrant atmosphere, we recommend staying on the European side, particularly in Sultanahmet. This area is perfect for sightseeing, as it’s home to iconic landmarks like the Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, and Topkapi Palace. If you want some recommendations regarding sightseeing, please visit JohAnna’s guide to Istanbul!

For the night of the wedding, we suggest staying closer to the venue on the Asian side, particularly around Bostancı. This will make it much more convenient to get to and from the wedding festivities while allowing you to experience a more local and relaxed side of Istanbul. The boat taking guests to the wedding will leave from and return to the Bostancı port, so staying close to here will make transport a little easier.

Here’s an overview of the city with a red circle around Bostancı and a green circle around Sultanahmet

We’ve compiled a list of hotels in both areas that offer comfort and accessibility, and we hope they help you find the perfect base for your trip.

We’ve selected these accommodations based on great reviews and recommendations, but we haven’t had the chance to stay at them ourselves. We hope they provide a wonderful experience for your visit!

If you wish to stay near or with us, Anna and Johan will be at Adamar Hotel before the wedding.
